This year so far

The receipt for fiscal year 2026, which is still running. Treasury has reported 10 of its 12 months — through July 2026 — and this is what has been spent in that time: $6.28 trillion.

This is a provisional receipt. The category totals are actual money, reported by Treasury. The breakdown inside each category — which programs, in what proportion — is not yet published for a year in progress, so it comes from the President's Budget estimate for FY2026, scaled to match what has actually been spent.

So: open a category and the total is real, while the split beneath it is a projection that the year's actual accounts will revise. The settled receipt for FY2025 has no estimates in it at all.
